Local service organizations honor
veterans for the holiday season
On December 18, 2021, Hope This Helps, US Flag Runners VA Division and A.S.M. donated 168 handmade wreaths and laid them in Calvary and West Point cemeteries veterans lots. In addition to these efforts, the Adam Thoroughgood Chapter, NSDAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) also wreathed over 400 veterans graves that day in Forest Lawn cemetery as part of Wreaths Across America, a national event held annually in mid-December to honor veterans for the holiday season. Many thanks to all these organizations!
Thanks to all volunteers, sponsors and event participants for supporting our cemeteries!
100% of proceeds from our fundraising events go directly to purchasing supplies for conservation, volunteer support and operations.
Let's talk of graves, of worms, and epitaphs;
Make dust our paper and with rainy eyes
Write sorrow on the bosom of the earth,
Let's choose executors and talk of wills.
